It’s not everyday that you come across a voice like Juliana Murphy’s. Hiding behind her never ending laughs and smile, is a soft, yet powerful voice that you just can’t seem to get enough of.
With a new website on the way, and booking increasingly more shows, she was finding herself with a need for some fresh new photos, and I was honored that she chose me as her photographer.
The day was wonderful and even though we ended up with a few pounds of mud on our shoes, it was well worth it to be treated to a private concert as Julie sang a medley of songs during her shoot.
Visit JuilanaMurphy.com to hear her wonderful voice and original songs, and be on the look out for her new site, featuring work from yours truly.

Nice portrait–makes me think of some of Mark Seliger’s past Rolling Stone work. Do you like the foreground grasses being so lit? I’m unsure of that, but really dig the ambient/flash balance.
Best wishes,

Thanks Troy,
Yeah, I think the foreground has a bit too much light.
Aside from the crop, this image is straight out of the camera, so I may tone it down a little in post.
Thanks for visiting!
